Luna (Tucker and Tilley 2021)
She’s been a great addition to our family with the exception of one chewed up sandal and a few nicked shirt sleeves. . She’s been a bit timid around other dogs but once she gets through the initial meet and greet it’s all play.
I’ve been gradually introducing her to birds. It hasn’t taken long for her to pick up the scent in the field. It’s fun to watch.

Powell (Lizzy and Tucker 2021)
|
Powell is a very affectionate boy. He is what we call a “suck”. He loves to be with us and loves our other three springers.
We live beside the river and he loved swimming in it last summer. He has already been in it this spring. Powell went bird hunting last fall. He is natural flusher/retriever - a great asset to the hunting trip. And he will only get better. I have taught him several tricks, including sit, stay, down, shake-a-paw, high five, spin, roll over, heel, and jumping through a hoop made of willows. Basically, he will do anything for a treat. |
Nando has been such a great addition to our family. His favourite activities include: going to the dog park to run around with other dogs, going swimming, playing with his friends at Doggy Daycare, and lots of cuddles with his family.
He is such a great family dog! He is great with all humans including adults, kids, and his new baby sister that joined us in the beginning of March.
We are so happy that Nando is apart of our family :)

Jax (Lizzy and Tucker 2021)
We got Jax April 2021, and we were instantly in love with him. He was such an adorable puppy and so cuddly. You can tell that he had been around kids because to this day he still loves any kids he sees. He is full of energy but also enjoys to cuddle with us on the couch. He is definitely a mama's boy. Jax absolutly loves going to the park and going after his ball. He could do this all day long and never get tired. He plays well with so many other dogs, and goes to daycare usually twice a week, and they love him there. I would highly recommend Prairie Springers for your next springer spaniel.
Ace (Lizzy and Tucker 2020) and Mia (Tilley and Tucker 2019)
(Mia is the smaller dog)
Ace has countless amounts of energy and has picked up on bird hunting quickly. Ace is a very loving and kind dog. So loving of others in fact that he tried to make friends with a coyote! Ace is a welcome member of our family and we look forward to many more years of adventures with him.
Archie (Lizzy and Tucker 2020)
Archie is a wonderful dog. He is very playful and full of energy and has been a great companion to our daughter. He is very good with children and other dogs of all sizes. He is the perfect family dog. We are very pleased with him. I can send more photos if you would like them.
Clover (Lizzy and Tucker- 2020)
Clover is doing great! She is so affectionate and loving. She is super loyal and has amazing recall. Clover loves having a job to do, like scenting or searching for things. She is FAST and very athletic. She is also an amazing swimmer and is obsessed with water! She’d play fetch the entire day if we let her, and loves to learn new tricks. She is quite timid around new people but warms to them eventually. She’s great with other dogs !
We welcomed baby girl into our family last August and Clover is the best big sister ever.

Mr. Pickles (Lizzy and Tucker 2020)
Mr. Pickles is doing amazing! He is such a goofy guy that loves to play fetch and run around our acreage, very people oriented and our daughters best friend! When he’s worn himself out he is a huge cuddle bug but is still learning that he’s no longer lap sized We love him to bits!
Bandit (Lizzy and Tucker- 2020)
We absolutely love bandit he is so sweet and smart and just a really great boy he always has a bone or a toy in his mouth he sleeps underneath the blanket in my youngest bed with him every night he loves to play ball and swim inthe summer
Finnigahn (Tilley and Tucker 2021)
Finnigahn (Thor) is an amazing pup. He is very loyal to me and lays at my feet when I work at the computer, do dishes, and even lays outside the door when I’m in the bathroom. In the evening he loves to snuggle on the love-seat with me (he is the perfect medium lap dog size).
He lives to please, so is very easy to train, if I use a disappointed tone he puts himself to bed to sulk until I call him and give him an ear scratch and snuggle.
He isn’t as tall as his father Tucker but that doesn’t stop him from springing over the back of Duke our Spangold Retriever.
Finnigahn loves all people and other dogs as well as our 2 cats. He is the perfect companion, lazy when the house is calm and high stamina when it’s time for a walk.
Thank you Prairie Springers for our wonderful pup!

Olive (Lizzy and Tucker 2021)
One year ago we picked up a puppy from Lizzie's last litter. She is growing in to such a magnificent dog. Olive is smart, confident, and filled with joy an overall wonderful canine partner. We are having fun together learning jumps and weaves as she starts her agility career.
We have had a lot of experience with Springer Spaniels. We got our first Springer 30 years ago. From there we started to rescue springers and for many years have always had 4 to 6 springers at a time – one time when fostering we had 9 springers. They have brought so much joy in to our household.
We decided we wanted to get a puppy and start right from the beginning. My nephew had sent me a picture of a Springer companion of his dog and I had to know who the breeder was. It was Prairie Springers. We wrote them immediately and put ourselves on a wait list for their next litter.
Getting Olive is one of the best decisions that we made in our lives. We have a lot of sports dog friends (flyball / agility etc) and they commented on our getting a great dog – one said I must have searched far and wide to find a Springer as wonderful as Olive.
Olive has an innate confidence and joy about her. My husband and I always talk about the wonderful socialization that Prairie Springers gave to her from birth. Their “Cuddle Crew” made her so adaptable to people of all ages. I may be able to train but it is the foundation of great parents and a wonderful start that set Olive on the right path.
Thank you Prairie Springers for giving your puppies such an amazing start in life. We know that we are responsible for what happens after we take them home, but the job is made easier by the fabulous foundation you give them.
We can’t wait to meet our new puppy. Now to make those arrangements as we are in Ontario – but it is well worth the trip to adopt a Prairie Springer puppy.
We would be happy to speak to anyone who is researching and wants to learn more about our experience.

Louie (Lady and Tucker)
Louie has been an amazing family dog, we couldn’t be happier with him.
He’s always been easy going and relaxed, I remember you mentioning how he was one of the bigger pups from the litter. He certainly has a wonderful temperament, and almost anyone who meets him comments about it right away. So calm and patient with our kids. He also loves to swim. We take him for at least one good, off leash run every day, and he loves being outdoors. I’ve had him hunting a number of times, and he’s great in the bush for flushing grouse. We’ve had many great adventures with him and are looking forward to many more!

Axle (Lady and Tucker)
Axle has been the greatest dog we could ever dream of. He is SO loyal to us and refuses to ever leave our side. He is so friendly towards other people and dogs. He is OBSESSED with water and playing fetch. The words ‘ball’ or ‘lake’ get him overly excited. Axle spends every day exploring the farm and tracking all the smells. He truly is such a ‘good boy’.
